Suggestions to Close Schools & Colleges After 01 June

Islamabad, The meeting of the Inter Provincial Education Ministers was conducted in Islamabad and the provincial ministers of all four provinces attended this meeting through video link and the Federal Minister of Education, Shafqat Mahmood chaired the meeting. The provincial ministers of education of Sindh, Punjab and Baluchistan opposed the suggestion and they agreed to keep the schools and colleges closed after 01 June 2020. The provinces, which opposed this suggestion to keep the schools and colleges closed, they were of the opinion that the opening of the educational institutes can cause the COVID-19 spread in the schools and colleges and the students can suffer. The KPK government favored this suggestion with the opinion that they should keep the social distancing in the schools and colleges. As no decision has been made in the meeting, this matter will be discussed in the meeting of the National Coordination Committee.
