Women Breaking Barriers in Vocational Trades Through New NAVTTC Programs
Speaking to *China Economic Net*, NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal Ahmad emphasized the importance of offering opportunities in skilled trades such as electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and mobile phone repair—specifically through programs designed for women.
“This approach, which began as a pilot project last year under a directive from the Prime Minister, has now become a core element of NAVTTC’s ongoing training efforts,” she shared. “We are opening doors for women in sectors where their presence was once rare, creating real change on the ground.”
