Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC recently administered the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test MDCAT 2023 nationwide. This crucial examination is conducted by provincial admitting universities under the guidance of PMDC. Conducting Universities
The MDCAT 2023 was conducted by several prominent universities, including the University of Health Sciences UHS Lahore, Khyber Medical University KMU Peshawar through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency ETEA, Jinnah Sindh Medical University JSMU, and Bolan University of Health Sciences. Each university organized the test within its respective province. PMDC will announce the results of all these university-based MDCATs through its official website. MDCAT 2023 Answer Keys and Self Scoring System
This year, PMDC introduced the Self Scoring System, a practice previously employed by NUMS and UHS. Under this system, students receive carbon copies of their MDCAT response sheets, and the answer key is released on the same day. Candidates can then calculate their scores independently using the carbonized copy of the response form along with the provided key.

The official MDCAT result will be provided by the respective universities to PMDC within 5-7 days from the day of the examination. PMDC will consolidate and display the results on its official website, encompassing all MDCATs conducted in different provinces and regions.
MDCAT Pass Percentage
For admission to public colleges, each province or territory will determine its merit structure. The minimum pass percentage for MDCAT is set at 55% for admission to medical colleges and 45% for dental colleges. This criterion ensures fairness and consistency in the admission process across various institutions.
