PMC Releases MDCAT Test 2023 Syllabus Updates

The Pakistan Medical Commission PMC has recently unveiled the syllabus for the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT 2023. This syllabus has been meticulously formulated in collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring that it aligns with the current syllabi of all educational boards in Pakistan. The announcement of the MDCAT 2023 syllabus took place during a meeting of the National Medical and Dental Council on June 4, 2023. In line with the previous year, the weightage of subjects in the MDCAT remains the same for 2023. The distribution of questions in the exam will be as follows: Biology will account for 34% of the total questions, Chemistry will contribute 27%, Physics will also contribute 27%, English will make up 9%, and Logical Reasoning will comprise 3% of the exam. This uniform distribution ensures a balanced assessment of students knowledge across these essential disciplines.

The MDCAT paper will consist of a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions MCQs, designed to gauge students understanding of the approved syllabus.
