Recommended Number of Attempts for NUST Entry Test NET:
It is highly advisable to appear in the NET at least twice in order to improve your marks and enhance your chances of admission. The best result from your NET attempts will be considered for the preparation of the merit list for NUST Undergraduate admissions. Therefore, to maximize your chances of admission, it is recommended to appear at least twice in the NET. Notably, NET-I holds significant importance and should not be missed. Lets explore the reasons behind this recommendation.
Which NUST Entry Test NET Should You Appear In: NET 1, 2, or 3?
For students in their FSc 2nd year, it is strongly recommended to appear in NET-I, which is scheduled to be held in December 2023. The reason behind this suggestion is that NET-2 coincides with the preparation for final exams, which can create a conflicting schedule. Additionally, many students have pointed out that NET-I is relatively easier, with a significant portion of the test based on the FSc Part-I syllabus, while some questions come from the 2nd year syllabus. Since, at this stage, students may not have covered the entire 2nd-year syllabus, focusing on the 1st year syllabus can prove advantageous. By studying diligently, revising the Part-I syllabus, along with the 2nd-year syllabus, students can strive to achieve maximum marks.
It is possible to skip NET-II and redirect your energies towards your FSc exams. Afterward, you can reappear in NET-III, which takes place after your exams, to potentially score higher marks.
ACT/SAT Basis Application for Local and International Students at NUST:
For local and international students interested in applying to NUST, there are additional options available. ACT and SAT exams, conducted by ACT, USA and Collegeboard, USA respectively, are recognized by NUST. More information about these exams can be found at the official website of ACT and online on the NUST web page. NUST institutional codes for ACT and SAT scores are 2915 and 2790 respectively, and these scores remain valid for two years.
Please note that female candidates cannot apply for the MCE campus at Risalpur. Additionally, foreign nationals non-Pakistani and international candidates are ineligible to apply for the Aerospace and Avionics Engineering programs offered at the CAE campus in Risalpur. The merit list for candidates applying on the basis of ACT/SAT for national and international seats is prepared separately. The last date to apply on an ACT/SAT basis is July 20, 2023.
