Medical Admission Suggested to be Awarded on 1st Year Result

Karachi, All educational boards of Pakistan have attended the combined meeting for the promotion of the students and award of the passing marks so that they can get admission in the next classes. The IBCC has formulated a promotion policy, which is handed over to the federal government and the ministry of education has given the approval of this policy. According to this policy, it is suggested that the students of the 12th class may be awarded admission in the medical colleges on the basis of their first year result. Pakistan Medical and Dental Council commented this policy and said that they will give their decision on the basis of the policy of the federal government. It was also said that all educational boards have to take the exams of the inter class students this year but due to spreading of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, it was not possible for the students to appear in the exams on such large scale. The government decided that the students of the 12th class will be awarded passing marks on the base of their marks in the first year with the additional marks of 3% so that they can come on the merits of the medical colleges. The government has also announced the policy for the failed students and they will also be treated under this policy. If the students do not agree with this promotion policy, they are allowed to appear in the expected exams being conducted during September to October this year but they will have to show their disclaimer by the 1st July 2020 to their respective board.
