Launching of Education TV Channel During 1st Week of April

Due to outbreak of coronavirus in Pakistan, the educational institutes are closed all over the country and the students are sent on leaves till further orders. Because of the long vacations in the schools, colleges and universities, the study of the students is badly affected. The federal government has decision to set up a new tv channel, which will be dedicated to provide quality education to the students while sitting in their homes. The federal government has decided to launch the tv channel with the collaboration of the PTV so that this tv channel can reduce the academic losses of the students. The federal government has conducted the meeting, which was chaired by the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood and the Professional Training and National Heritage convened to discuss the substitute education content mechanism for the delivery of education during this period. During this meeting, it was also agreed that the content will be developed with the partnership of the various education service providers free of cost and the Federal Directorate of Education will set up the emergency learning carters and the subject specialists will review and schedule the content.
The federal minister will check the progress of the tv channel on the daily basis and this channel will start functioning within one week. All education ministers of the provinces will be briefed over this issue of the establishment of the new educational tv channel on 26 March 2020 and the minister has acknowledged the efforts of the staff on this great project.
