Dubai Schools Summer Vacation Schedule before Eid ul Adha

Dubai schools have recently announced their summer vacation schedule for a period of nine weeks. The summer vacation will commence on 26 June 2023, with the expected dates for Eid ul Adha falling between 27 to 30 June 2023. The United Arab Emirates has also announced the academic schedule for the year 2023-24, with the new academic year commencing on 28 August 2023, immediately after the conclusion of the summer vacation. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority of Dubai has granted some flexibility to schools to determine their academic years ending dates.

GEMs World Academy and Dubai International Academy will be ending their summer term on 7 July and 26 June, respectively, according to KHDAs guidelines. However, KHDA has made it clear that the academic year cannot end before 28 June, and many schools will conclude their academic year on this date before the Eid break.

KHDA will announce the official Eid ul Adha holidays for Dubai schools after the sighting of the moon. It is also expected that the new Islamic year will begin on 21 July, with the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH falling on 29 September 2023.
