Summer Vacations in Pakistan 2021

National Command and Operations Center has managed the meeting on the present situation of the COVID-19 across Pakistan and the academic activities in the schools and colleges. As the heat is also increasing and the federal and all provincial governments have their concerns that the summer vacations will be announced in the educational institutes to give some relief to the school going students. During the meeting, the NCOC Summer Vacations Suggestion in Educational Institutes in Pakistan was considered according to which the summer vacations may be announced from 18 July 2021 to 01 August 2021.

It is also decided that the decision of the provincial governments regarding summer vacations in the schools and colleges will be final. Punjab Education Minister said through tweet that summer vacations will be announced from 02 July to 02 August. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has announced to give summer break from July 1 to11, during which primary and higher-secondary educational institutions will remain closed. After improvement in the pandemic situation in the country, the schools and colleges are reopened and the academic activities are also started to cover the syllabus of the students of the present classes. It is also decided that the 10th and 12th classes annual exams will also be conducted during the month of July next year. The federal government decided to manage the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference and the final schedule of the SSC and HSSC annual exams will also be announced. School Education Department of Punjab has informed about the proposal of summer vacations from 01 July to 31 July 2021. Sindh Government is going to continue the education process and informed the private schools and colleges that summer vacations will not be granted this year so they focus on the education of their students.
