A surprising case of academic dishonesty has emerged in Lahore, where a ninth-grade student was found attempting his board exam while seated inside a car rather than in the examination hall. The student is reportedly the son of a Public Security Officer PSO linked to a private housing society. This irregularity surfaced when Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, carried out an unannounced inspection at Government High School in Ali Razaabad. During the visit, the minister discovered the student inside a car, answering his physics paper, which was part of the 9th-grade board exams.
Surprise School Raid Exposes Serious Examination Misconduct in Lahore
Zahid Mian, the Controller of Examinations, who was present during the raid, confirmed that the student had been consistently taking his board exams in the same unauthorized setup, revealing a broader lapse in exam protocol.
As a result, five individuals, including Headmaster Muhammad Shahid Baig, Superintendent Abdul Hafeez, a Deputy Superintendent, and two other supervisory staff, were suspended on the spot. Authorities have initiated an inquiry, and a case has been registered against the responsible personnel. The student has also been charged under Unfair Means regulations for violating examination rules.
