Sindh Madrasa Board Offers SMB Scholarship 2023

In a heartfelt initiative, the Sindh Madrassa Board SMB is pleased to announce a five-year scholarship program for deserving and talented students. This prestigious scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students who possess exceptional abilities but lack the means to pursue quality education. Under the umbrella of the Sindh Madrasa Board Educational Endowment Fund, established with the gracious support of the Government of Sindh, this scholarship will be awarded annually to 60 students who aspire for a brighter future.

The scholarship encompasses a comprehensive package, covering tuition fees, books, hostel charges, and mess charges for a five-year study program from class 8 to 12. The esteemed SMB Quaid-e-Azam Public School in Karachi will serve as the nurturing ground for these scholars, where they will receive quality education and holistic development opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria:
• To be eligible for the SMB Scholarship program, students must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must have successfully completed their seventh grade from any school in Sindh.
• The scholarship is granted for studying from 8th to 12th class Intermediate.
• Applicants must hold a domicile of Sindh and should not exceed 14 years of age as of 10th July.

SMB Scholarship program
• The SMB Scholarship program offers various categories of support, ensuring inclusivity and diversity among the recipients:
• Full scholarship: Covers school fees, course book supply, hostel accommodation, and food expenses for 20 students.
• Partial scholarship: Covers school fees, uniform, course books, and half of the cost of hostel accommodation the remaining half to be borne by the students for 20 students.
• Female scholarship: Covers school tuition fees, course books, uniform expenses, and free transport. These 20 seats are reserved exclusively for female students.
• Merit-based scholarships: 10% of the scholarships are earmarked for students demonstrating outstanding merit in sports and other extracurricular activities.

Selection Procedure:
The selection process for the scholarship is solely based on merit and excellence. Online applications can also be submitted through the same email address. The deadline for submitting applications is 10th July 2023.
