Sindh Govt Introduces Rs. 3500 Stipend for in Govt Schools

The Reform Support Unit, School Education & Literacy Department of the Sindh Government has taken a commendable step to support and empower girls education. They have announced the distribution of an annual stipend for female students enrolled in government schools across the province. Eligible girl students studying in sixth, ninth, and tenth classes will receive an amount of Rs. 3,500 as part of this initiative. The stipend distribution commenced from 24th July 2023. To be eligible for the stipend, female students must have maintained an aggregate attendance of at least 50% from August 2022 to December 2022. This encourages regular school attendance and ensures that deserving students benefit from the program.
The process for distributing the stipend is straightforward. Parents or guardians of eligible students need to provide the Computerized National Identity Card CNIC details as per the SAP form. Upon verification, Jazz Cash will issue a Transaction ID TID to the mobile number provided in the form. With this TID, parents/guardians can visit their nearest Jazz Cash Retailer along with the CNIC and receive the stipend amount through biometric verification of their thumb impression. The stipend of Rs. 3,500 will be provided without any deductions or additional charges.
In case of any issues with receiving the SMS containing the TID, eligible students whose names are on the school list can still claim the scholarship amount by providing their CNIC details and undergoing thumb impression verification.
For any complaints or queries related to the stipend distribution, concerned parents and students can reach out to their respective schools or contact the district LSU office/RSU office. Additionally, Jazz customers can use the helpline number 4444, while others can call 021-111-124-444 for further assistance.
