SDCE Introduces New Inter Part-1 Admission Policy

Sindh Department of College Education has recently approved a revised admission policy for Inter Part-1, marking a significant departure from the departments previous practices spanning 23 years. The new policy replaces the merit-based system with a zonal-based approach for admissions to government colleges in Karachi, reinstating a system that was in place prior to 2000. Zonal-Based Admission:
Under the newly approved policy, students with A-1 and A grades will be eligible to seek admission to any college in Karachi. However, students with B, C, D, and E grades will only be allowed to apply for admissions within their respective zones. This shift aims to distribute admissions more evenly across different areas of the city.
Establishment of Zones:
To implement the zonal-based admission system, a 25-minute drive zone will be established, resulting in the creation of 12 distinct zones within Karachi. This zoning approach will help streamline the admission process and ensure fair opportunities for students in their localities.
Online Admissions and Important Dates:
Online admissions will commence on June 27, and students will be required to submit their online forms by July 20. The admission lists for all faculties will be published by July 25, and classes are scheduled to begin from August 5. It is important to note that possessing a domicile and Permanent Resident Certificate PRC will be mandatory for admissions.
