Scholarships For Children of Police Martyrs in Punjab
The Inspector General of Police IG has announced educational scholarships totaling Rs12.5 million for the children of police martyrs across various districts, including Lahore. These scholarships aim to support the higher education of the children of brave officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Distribution of Scholarships
Out of the total amount, Rs2 million has been allocated specifically for the children of police martyrs from Lahore, while the remaining funds will be distributed among the families of martyrs from other districts. This initiative covers various police formations, including the Punjab Highway Patrol PHP, traffic police, special branch, Punjab Constabulary, Counter Terrorism Department CTD, and Telecommunication units.
Commitment to Welfare
The IG emphasized the police department’s commitment to the welfare of its employees’ families, stating that nearly Rs1 billion will be allocated this year for the educational support of police employees’ children.
