PU Semester / Annual Exams 2020 Policy

Due to coronavirus pandemic in the country, the educational institutes are closed now and they are providing the online education to their students and the universities are also going to manage the online exams of their students. Punjab University Lahore has announced its semester and annual exams 2020 policy and the students, who got admission in semester based programs, they appear in traditional and MCQ based online exams. The semester system exams will be held from 26 August to 6 September and if the situation in the country of the COVID-19 pandemic is improved and the universities are allowed to resume their educational activities before 23 August, then the traditional exams will be held and if not, then MCQ based online exams will be conducted to evaluate the students. The summer breaks will be started from 01 June to 09 August and the online classes will be continued till 31 May. The compensatory classes will be held in the Punjab University from 10 to 24 August, if the Coronavirus situation becomes normal and the government allows starting classroom study in the university. If any student does not appear in the online exams due to any reason, he will appear in the traditional exams, when the Coronavirus situation becomes normal.
Policy for Annual Exams
Punjab University will manage the traditional and MCQ based online exams for the students, who are enrolled in the annual program and these annual exams will be held in two phases.
Punjab University will held the exams of BA, BSc part II, in the first phase from 27 July to 25 August while MA, MSc part 2 and B.Com part 2 exams will be managed from 07 September to 30 September. If the Coronavirus position is improved and with the permission of the government, the colleges and universities are opened, then the traditional exams will be held otherwise the students will be assessed by online MCQ based exams. if any student does not appear in the online exams, they will appear in the traditional exams, which will be started from 02 December. The MA, MSc part II and B.Com part II traditional exams will be managed from 04 January 2021.
