PU Orders Hostel Evacuation for Summer Holidays

University of the Punjab PU has announced that all student hostels will be shut down for the duration of the summer holidays. According to the official notification, the closure will be in effect from June 6 until August 27, during which all 27 hostels must be vacated. The students can get latest updates of Punjab University Orders Hostel Evacuation for Summer Holidays.
Hostel Stay Limited to Foreign Nationals and Approved Students Only
Unlike previous years when students could often remain in hostels during the break, the university has introduced a stricter policy. Only foreign students will be allowed to reside in hostels throughout the vacation. Final semester students engaged in thesis work must request and receive formal permission to stay. Similarly, academic departments planning to continue classes or research activities during the summer must obtain prior approval to accommodate their students.
This decision is believed to support facility maintenance and strengthen campus security during the off-season. The university has advised all students to respect the updated rules and arrange other housing options in advance of the hostel closures.
