PMDC Admission Policy for Foreign Institutions

For the academic session 2024-25, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC has established a set of guidelines for students seeking admission to foreign medical and dental colleges for undergraduate studies. The students can get fresh information of PMDC Admission Policy for Foreign Medical & Dental Institutions. Students must meet the following criteria:
Qualification Requirements
Students must have completed Pre-Medical PSc with at least 60% marks or have achieved a minimum score of 550 in each subject of SAT-II. Alternatively, they can have scored 50% in key subjects Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or Maths in foreign MCAT or UCAT exams.
A minimum of 50% marks in MDCAT is mandatory, and this result remains valid for three years.
Verification and Accreditation
Students need to confirm that the foreign institution is included in the list of approved institutes provided by PMDC Islamabad.
The medical degree must be awarded by an institution recognized by the regulatory authority of the respective country and accredited by the World Federation for Medical Education WFME or listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
Additional Conditions
Students must secure a PMDC student registration certificate prior to commencing their studies.
The medical course must encompass a minimum of 6200 hours of study with at least 80% attendance over five years.
In countries where English is not the medium of instruction, students must dedicate at least six months to learning the local language before starting their medical education.
Students must provide details of their residence and contact information in the country of study before beginning their education.
A multiple entry visa covering the entire duration of the study program is required before starting the education.
