PhD Programs Admissions 2025 open in PUMHSW

Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences for Women PUMHSW, located in Shaheed Benazirabad, proudly announces admissions open for its Postgraduate Programs for the March 2025 session. Applications are invited from eligible graduates for various Ph.D., FCPS-II, MCPS, Degree, and Diploma programs.

 Programs Offered
A. Ph.D. Program

Doctor of Philosophy in Histopathology

Duration: 1 year of coursework + 2 years of research

Eligibility: MS/MPhil or equivalent with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 or 60%

Admission Test: GRE/HAT or university test min. 60% required

Shortlisted candidates will present a research proposal on 25 June 2025

B. Second Fellowship

Pain Medicine Post-FCPS in Anesthesiology

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: Must have completed FCPS in Anesthesiology

C. Degree Programs MD/MS
5-Year Programs:

MS: Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatric Surgery, Urology

MD: Cardiology, Neurology

4-Year Programs:

MS: General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, ENT

MD: General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry

D. FCPS-II Training

Fields: General Surgery, Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynae & Obstetrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Anesthesiology

Eligibility: MBBS + FCPS-I + valid PMDC registration + 1-year house job

E. MCPS Programs 2 Years

Specialties: Anesthesiology, Gynae & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, ENT

F. Diploma Programs
1-Year Diploma:

Diabetic Foot Care Practitioner DDFCP

Eligibility: MBBS, DPT, Pharm-D, BSN, or BSPH

2-Year Diplomas:

DA Anesthesiology, DGO, DCH, Dip-Card, DMRD, DMRT, DPM, DTCD, DO, DLO, DCN, DOM

 Eligibility Criteria

MBBS from a PMDC-recognized institution

Valid PMDC registration

One-year house job in a recognized hospital

For FCPS-II: FCPS-I certificate required

For DDFCP: MBBS/DPT/Pharm-D/BSN/BSPH

For DOM: MBBS with one-year house job

For Ph.D.: MS/MPhil with CGPA 3.0/4.0 or 60%

 Admission Process

Separate application forms are required for each program

In-service applicants must submit a No Objection Certificate NOC

Foreign graduates must provide equivalency from PMDC

 Fee Structure Overview
Ph.D. Program:

Admission & Curriculum: Rs. 70,000 1st Year, Rs. 60,000 2nd, Rs. 125,000 3rd

Additional charges: Workshops, supervision, research, defense, etc.

Other Programs:

Entry Test Fee: Rs. 8,000 – Rs. 9,500

Tuition MS/MD/FCPS: Rs. 50,000/year

Diploma/MCPS: Rs. 25,000–Rs. 50,000/year

Overseas: Up to Rs. 300,000 or $5,000/year

 Additional Instructions

A candidate may apply for only one discipline at a time

Applying to both Degree and Diploma/MCPS in the same specialty is allowed

No TA/DA will be provided for test or interviews
