PhD Programs Admissions 2025 open in JSMU

Jinnah Sindh Medical University JSMU, Karachi is now accepting admissions for its prestigious Ph.D. Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences for the academic year 2025.
This program is recognized by the Higher Education Commission HEC and approved by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan PCP. It is designed to foster advanced research, academic excellence, and leadership in various pharmaceutical disciplines.

 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:

A Pharm.D. or B.Pharm, along with an MS/MPhil/M.Pharm 18 years of education, Level 7 from an HEC-recognized institution.

A minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system or 60% marks in the annual system.

Conditional Admission:

Candidates with a CGPA between 2.5 and 2.9 may be granted conditional admission, subject to completion of Zero Semester courses, as per HEC/JSMU policy.

Test Options:

Appear in the JSMU Entry Test minimum qualifying score: 60%
OR

Submit a valid GRE/HAT/GAT Subject test result with a minimum 60% score, conducted by an HEC-approved testing agency.

Interview & Research Proposal

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview conducted by the Admission Committee.

Candidates must also submit a brief research proposal in their area of interest at the time of the interview.

No TA/DA will be provided for test or interview.

 Intra-Disciplinary Admissions
Intra-disciplinary admission between offered fields may be allowed on a conditional basis if:

The candidate has passed a GRE-Subject/Equivalent Test with at least 60% marks in the relevant field.

The candidate completes 6–9 credit hours of deficiency coursework in the Zero Semester offered by the respective department.
