The National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine NIRM is now accepting applications for the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Speech and Language Therapy for the 2024-25 session. This program, affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University SZABMU, is designed to enhance professional skills in speech and language therapy over a 16-month period, divided into four semesters.

Course Details
Commencement Date: August 2, 2024
Duration: 16 months 4 semesters
Total Seats: 25
Age Limit: 26 years as of the closing date for applications. Age relaxation may be granted under special circumstances upon approval by the committee and competent authority.
Gender: No gender discrimination
Tuition Fee: Rs. 25,000 total. Alternatively, Rs. 7,500 per semester if paid in installments. The registration fee is non-refundable and must be deposited with SZABMU.
Facilities: No residential or conveyance facilities provided.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements to apply:

B.A/B.Sc Degree: At least in second division with Child Development/Psychology or Zoology as one of the major subjects.
Masters Degree: Candidates with a Masters in Special Education are also eligible.
Please note that there is no obligation for NIRM to offer employment to graduates of this program.

Government employees must apply through the proper channel and may submit an advance copy of their application. No TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.
