Inclusive Curriculum Development:
To ensure a comprehensive curriculum, relevant stakeholders were actively involved at every step of the development process. Policymakers, academics, practitioners, parents, and students from across Pakistan participated in intensive consultations and policy dialogues. Additionally, a series of curriculum workshops were organized to gather feedback and suggestions. An online portal was also made available for stakeholders to contribute their opinions and ideas.
Finalizing the Curriculum:
After conducting regional curriculum workshops in each province, a final curriculum workshop took place at the NCC Secretariat in Islamabad. Nominated experts from all provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan came together to review and endorse the curriculum for nine subjects, namely Urdu, English, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.
Implementation and Stakeholder Engagement:
To ensure effective implementation of the new curriculum, multiple stakeholder meetings were held, leading to the official notification of the curriculum for Islamabad Capital Territory and institutions under the Federal Ministries. An implementation plan was issued alongside the notification, providing guidance for the process. Provinces will review and notify the curriculum in accordance with their respective Acts and laws.
