KPK Worker Welfare Fund Education Scholarship Grants 2023

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Worker Welfare Board/Fund has introduced a remarkable scholarship program aimed at supporting the education of the children of industrial and mine workers. This initiative is applicable for the academic session 2023-24. Students currently enrolled in various colleges, universities, and institutions fall under three distinct categories for eligibility. Application Deadlines for Different Student Categories:

Inter/DAE students must submit their applications by October 31, 2023.
Undergraduate degree program applicants have until December 31, 2023, to apply.
MBBS, Engineering, and postgraduate students can apply up to March 31, 2024.

Comprehensive Coverage:

Selected students will enjoy comprehensive financial support from the worker welfare board, which will cover various educational expenses such as admission fees, tuition fees, transportation charges, hostel fees, library fees, computer fees, and exam fees. Moreover, a monthly stipend will be provided to the recipients to aid in their educational journey.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Workers must fulfill the criteria defined in the Industrial Relation Act IRA 2012.
A minimum service period of 3 years is mandatory for the worker.
Workers should be registered with EOBI or ESSI.
Employees of the Worker Welfare Board and Fund, along with their children, are also eligible to apply.

Categories of Scholarships:

The scholarship program is divided into three categories:

Category-1: Institutional Priority

This category encompasses students studying in educational institutions under the administration of the Worker Welfare Board/Fund.
If seats are unavailable in these institutions, admission can be sought in Public Schools or Cadet Colleges under Provincial or Federal Government.
Priority will be given to students enrolled in Worker Welfare Boards higher secondary schools.
Monthly stipend: PKR 3500/-
Application deadline: October 31, 2023.

Category-2: Graduation Level

This category includes students pursuing a two-year or four-year graduation degree from HEC recognized Government or Private Universities, or those enrolled in Affiliated Government Colleges.
Monthly stipend: PKR 4500/-

Category-3: Engineering and Medical Studies

Students pursuing Engineering, Medical, or postgraduate degrees from recognized Government or Private universities or Colleges fall under this category.
Monthly stipend: PKR 5500/-

Admission offer letter from an HEC/PMDC/PEC/HERA recognized institution.
Scholarship form attested by factory Management or CBA.
Attested copy of CNIC/Form-B/Birth Certificate.
Attested copy of Workers CNIC.
Attestable EOBI/ESSI Worker Card.
Copy of EOBI/ESSI worker card.
Copies of DMC/Marks sheets/Result cards of previous exams.
Original Service Certificate from the respective factory.
Original Payslip from the respective factory.
Copy of 2% payment certificate as per relevant registration act/industrial and Mines act.
Copies of fee payment receipts from the respective university.
Documentary proof of the registration/recognition of the institution.
