Karachi Shipyard MS Fully-Funded Scholarships

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is offering comprehensive scholarships for individuals seeking to pursue a Masters degree in Naval Architecture at NUST Karachi. This initiative covers all educational expenses, including tuition and admission fees, security deposit, and hostel charges. Moreover, a monthly stipend of PKR 25,000 will be provided to selected candidates. The fresh updates are shared as Karachi Shipyard MS Fully-Funded Scholarships.
Service Commitment and Application Process
Recipients of these scholarships are expected to serve at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works for a duration of 8 years upon completing their Masters degree. Interested candidates are advised to participate in the Graduate Assessment Test GAT as per NUSTs schedule. Applicants will apply directly to NUST. The shortlisted candidates chosen by NUST will be invited for an interview at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited, where the final selection process will be conducted.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
Applicants should not exceed 26 years of age.
Educational Background:
A Bachelors degree BE in one of the following disciplines from an HEC-recognized university:
Naval Architecture
Marine
Mechanical
Mechanical and Manufacturing
Automotive
Industrial and Manufacturing
Education Duration:
Candidates should possess 16 years of education or equivalent 4 years of relevant education post-HSSC/A-level.
Academic Performance:
A minimum of 60% marks is required.
Test Scores:
Applicants must have a valid GAT General score conducted by NTS on or after May 2021 until June 2023, or an HAT score conducted by HEC on or after May 2022 until June 2023, with an accumulative test score of at least 50. Alternatively, GRE General scores conducted by ETS, USA, are acceptable, with the following minimum scores in each section:
Quantitative: 151/170
Verbal: 146/170
Analytical Writing: 3.5/6.0
Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship
Selected candidates will receive a comprehensive scholarship that covers tuition fees, admission processing fees, security deposit, and hostel fees if applicable for the MS Naval Architecture program. Additionally, a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 will be provided. However, all other personal expenses are the responsibility of the individual. Its important to note that scholarship recipients are obligated to serve at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd for a minimum of 8 years after completing the MS program.
In the event that the performance of a selected candidate is deemed unsatisfactory during the course of the MS program, the scholarship will be revoked, and the individual will be required to reimburse all expenses incurred on the scholarship not exceeding Rs. 3.0 Million. Existing employees are required to provide a No Objection Certificate NOC from their current employer.
