IBCC Denies O&A Level Student Marks Deduction for Equivalent

Inter Board Committee of Chairmen made the decision not to deduct 15% marks of the O & A level students at the time of equivalency. Cambridge education system cancelled the June series exams and they announced their internal assessment policy. This policy will be implemented for Cambridge students and the International Baccalaureates and American System of Education and others. This decision will be made for the students of current academic session to grant equivalence to June 2020 results. The students, who have three years record of the academic performance, will be sought from concerned exams bodies so that the transparency can be maintained. The steering committee of the IBCC conducted the meeting and this decision was made there to finalize the policy to help the Pakistani students, who are enrolled with international exams systems and their May/June exams 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19. The students, who appeared in country specific compulsory subjects like Pak Studies, Islamic Studies and Urdu, they will be given the minimum passing marks.
The students will note that 10% to 15% marks are deduced from total obtained marks of the students at the time of equivalence and from June 2020 exams results, it will be based on the internal assessments and the marks will not be deducted from equivalence off Cambridge students.
