HEC Law Admission Test LAT August 2024: Registration Open

Higher Education Commission HEC has announced the opening of registration for the Law Admission Test LAT 2024. This test is essential for candidates aspiring to enroll in a five-year undergraduate LLB degree program at public and private universities, institutions, and their accredited colleges recognized by HEC/PBC. The LAT will be conducted in major cities nationwide, with candidates having the flexibility to choose their preferred exam centers. The LAT is tentatively scheduled for August 10, 2024, and the deadline for applications is July 23, 2024. Candidates must register online through the HEC website. The LAT is mandatory for LLB program admissions in all government and private universities and their affiliated colleges.

Eligibility for the HEC Law Admission Test

Students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or an equivalent qualification.
Students who have appeared for the final examination of HSSC or equivalent and are awaiting their results.
Any changes to the examination date will be communicated through the HEC website. Applicants who register online will be able to download their Roll Number Slips one week before the exam. Registered candidates will receive notifications regarding the exam date, time, and venue via email or SMS. It is crucial to provide a valid email address and mobile number when completing the online application. On the exam day, candidates must bring a printout of their Roll Number Slip and their original CNIC for entry into the exam center.

Steps to Register for the HEC Law Admission Test LAT 2024

Visit the HEC registration portal online.
If you encounter difficulties during registration, seek assistance through onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk, visit the HEC Secretariat, or contact HEC regional offices.
The registration process involves two steps: completing your profile in the "My Profile" section and submitting your application using the "Law Admission Test" link in the left-hand sidebar of the portal.
Only applications marked as SUBMITTED will be considered for the LAT; those in SAVE or INCOMPLETE status will not be entertained.

Additional Requirements and Conditions

Test Fee: Rs. 1800/-, payable via 1Link 1Bill invoice through participating banks, ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or Upaisa.
After selecting the link bill invoice payment option, log into your mobile banking app, choose Bill Payment Services, and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Confirm and pay the fee.
After payment, verify your online payment on the ETC Dashboard. Ensure all queries and complaints are resolved before the registration portal closes.
The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Late handling of applications is not possible due to logistics and security reasons.
