Govt Establishes Universities in 8 Punjab Districts

Punjab Government has made the remarkable progress in field of education and Punjab government has decided to set up new universities in 8 districts of Punjab. Punjab Govt has accorded the approval of the establishment of new universities in the districts of Attock, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Bhakkar and Sialkot.
The Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister said that Punjab government has allocated the funds of Rs.15 billion for the higher education development in the current fiscal year, which is 285 % more than the previous fiscal year as Govt Establishes Universities in 8 Punjab Districts. The special assistant has also revealed that government has proposed the establishment of seven universities in the districts of Bahawalnagar, DG Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Muzaffargarh for the next fiscal year.
The government has also allocated the amount of Rs.16.60 billion for the establishment of the University of Applied Engineering and Emerging Technology in Sialkot, Rs.2 billion for establishment of University of DG Khan, Rs.3 billion for setting up of Gujranwala University, Rs.2 billion for setting up of Baba Farid University in Pakpattan and Rs.2 billion for setting up of Attock University.
