Government Medical College Bahawalpur,
the sole government medical college in the country, announces admissions for the academic year 2024-2025.
The college offers a specialized four-year course in Fazal Tabiyah and Suryarat and Intermediate in Unani and Ayurvedic Muslim Medicine, organized by Nasl for Medicine Islamabad. The program is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad.

Notification and Opportunities
As per the Punjab Governments Notification No. SOG. 2 Under 45-2012/22 dated 12.08.2015, graduates of this course in specialist medicine and surgery will have excellent job prospects. They can secure positions in government dispensaries, hospitals, and rural health centers operated by Muslim governments across Punjab. Additionally, graduates can establish private practices, create their own herbal pharmacies, or set up grocery stores specializing in herbal products. Graduates also have the option to pursue a diploma in BEMS classes.


Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have at least Matriculation Science.
Age Limit: Maximum age for admission is 45 years.
Seats Allocation: Out of a total of 60 seats, 55 are reserved for boys and 5 for girls. Additionally, 5 seats from the boys’ quota are reserved for children of rulers, requiring the fathers registration leaf.
