FDE Announces Admission Schedule for Schools and Colleges

Islamabad, Federal Directorate of Education FDE has announced the admission process for the 2025-26 academic session in model schools and colleges across the capital. Students residing in both urban and rural areas can now apply for enrollment in pre-primary, primary, and secondary classes under the FDE admission schedule. The registration process has commenced, and applicants must ensure they complete their submissions within the specified timeframe to secure a place. The first merit list will be displayed, and successful candidates must deposit their admission fees before the final deadline.
The admission registration period will begin on March 17 and conclude on March 28, 2025. Interviews for ECE-I ages 3-4 are scheduled for March 17, while admission tests for ECE-II/Prep ages 4-5 will be conducted on April 8. The entry test for Class 1 ages 5-6 is set for April 9. The merit list will be announced on April 14, and the form submission window will remain open from April 14 to April 16. The academic session for new students will commence on April 17.
For students seeking admission in classes 2-9, the registration period will remain the same from March 17 to March 28. The entrance test for Class 6 will take place on April 7, while admission tests for Classes 2-5 and 7-9 will be held on April 9. The first merit list will be published on April 14, followed by the submission of admission forms from April 14 to April 16. Classes for newly admitted students will start on April 17.
Admission eligibility requires students to meet specific age criteria. Children between 3-4 years are eligible for ECE-I, while those aged 4-5 years can apply for ECE-II/Prep. For Class 1, students must be between 5-6 years old. Admission is open to Islamabad residents as well as children of federal government employees.
