FCPS Training Program Admissions 2025 open in SMBBMC

The Office of the Principal, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College SMBBMC, Lyari, Karachi, announces admissions for the Postgraduate Training Program Session 2025-B in association with Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital. Applications are invited from eligible medical graduates for admission to the following FCPS-II and MCPS training programs.

 Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following conditions:

MBBS degree from a university recognized by the PMDC as per Schedule I & II.

Valid PMDC registration as a medical practitioner.

Completion of a one-year house job from a PMDC-recognized institution.

For FCPS-II applicants: Passing FCPS-I is mandatory.

For MCPS applicants: The house job must be in the relevant field.

Foreign graduates must provide an equivalence certificate from PMDC.

 Admission Procedure
Entry Test & Interview

All applicants for FCPS-II and MCPS programs must appear for an entry test followed by an interview/viva.

Selections will be merit-based and depend on the availability of seats and stipends.

In the event of a public health emergency or disaster, selected candidates may be required to participate in institutional or government-assigned relief duties.

Application forms are available at the Office of the Co-Chairperson, Postgraduate Medical Education, Training, Research & Ethics Committee, SMBBMC Lyari, Karachi.

Note: The college reserves the right to modify the above schedule or admission policy as deemed necessary.

 Important Information

Stipends: FCPS-II trainees will receive stipends as per the Government of Sindh’s policy. Training in other programs will be on an honorary basis unpaid.

In-Service Candidates: Must submit a No Objection Certificate NOC from their current employer. Applications without NOC will not be considered.

Late Applications: No applications will be accepted after the submission deadline.

Communication: In-person visits or emails regarding admissions will not be entertained.
