Educational Institutes Reopen from January 18 in Pakistan

Islamabad, Federal Government has managed Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference on 04 January 2021 and the issues of the reopening of the schools, colleges and universities were reviewed and the decisions were made on these issues. The Federal Education Minister chaired the meeting and it was decided that the schools, colleges and universities will be reopened all over the country in different phases. The Provincial Education Ministers and other officials participated in this meeting through video link and the meeting was briefed over this situation by the health department. The suggestions of the management of the annual exams, board exams, reduction in summer vacations and the commencement of new academic year from August 2021 was discussed. The students can note that schools and colleges and universities will be reopened in phases wise.
• Class from 9 to class 12 will be reopened from January 18, 2021
• Class from 1 to class 8 will be reopened from January 25, 2021
• Universities will be reopened from February 01, 2021
The exams, which were going to start during March, are delayed till last week of May or first week of June this year and the government has decided to reduce the summer vacations. It is also decided in the meeting that new academic year will be started from August 2021 in order to cover up the course of the next academic year.
