As heavy rainfall grips Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP, the provincial Education Ministry finds itself compelled to take swift action to mitigate the impact on academic activities. In an unprecedented move, Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai chaired a high-level meeting in Peshawar to address the escalating situation, particularly in the district of Chitral. Exam Cancellations and Rescheduling

With rainfall intensifying, the ministry announced the cancellation of matriculation annual exam papers scheduled from Thursday to Saturday in Chitral, citing concerns for student safety. However, amidst this disruption, a commitment to academic continuity remains steadfast as plans are underway to reschedule these crucial exams for a later date, ensuring minimal disruption to students academic pursuits.

Ensuring Exams Integrity

In the wake of recent incidents of exam paper leaks, the Education Minister issued stern warnings against any individuals implicated in such malpractices. Emphasizing the need for maintaining the integrity of the Exams process, stringent measures are being implemented to prevent any further breaches, safeguarding the fairness and credibility of the assessment system.

Rising Toll of Rainfall Havoc

Beyond the realm of education, the heavy rains have unleashed widespread chaos across KP, with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority PDMA reporting a grim tally of casualties and structural damages. Tragically, the rainfall-induced calamities have claimed the lives of at least 21 individuals across the province, with numerous others sustaining injuries in the aftermath. The havoc wrought by the deluge is further evidenced by the staggering number of roof and wall collapses, leaving scores of homes destroyed and communities grappling with the aftermath of natures fury.


In light of these challenges, KP finds itself at a critical juncture, where swift and decisive action is imperative to navigate through the turmoil unleashed by the relentless downpour. As the province rallies to address the multifaceted impacts of the rainfall crisis, resilience and solidarity emerge as guiding beacons in the face of adversity.
