CM Punjab Student Merit Scholarship

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over a special meeting and approved the Student Merit Scholarship for students. This Merit Scholarship will be awarded to 25,000 students. The Punjab government will cover all educational expenses for these 25,000 students for a four-year degree program. The Punjab Government has allocated a budget of PKR 100 billion for the Student Merit Scholarship.

The CM also approved cash prizes for the position holders of all BISEs in Punjab. Teachers of these position holders will also receive cash prizes. Undergraduate students enrolled in all public sector universities are eligible to apply. Additionally, students studying in eight selected private universities will also be eligible for a 100% scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded based on merit.

Transport Scheme for Female Colleges:

On the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a transport program for female students is being launched. The government will provide buses to 60 girls colleges in different districts of Punjab under the Chief Minister Transport Program in the first phase. In the next phase, the program will expand to cover all districts of Punjab.
The establishment of an IT hub has also been approved. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered immediate steps to establish an IT hub and directed that the necessary steps to start the laptop scheme be taken. She emphasized that the process of providing laptops to students will begin as soon as possible.
