UoK Declares Entry Test Date for BS Program

University of Karachi has officially announced the date for the entrance test for its four-year BS program in the year 2024. Professor Dr. Saima Akhtar, the Director of Admissions at the University of Karachi, has communicated that the entrance test is scheduled to be held on December 3 at the university campus. This examination will be conducted collaboratively by 54 institutions in conjunction with 23 research institutions affiliated with the university. The test is slated to commence at 11 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM, with a designated duration of 90 minutes.

In contrast to the preceding year, Dr. Saima Akhtar has reported a reduction in the number of registered students for the test, amounting to approximately 8,500. She attributed this decline to inflationary pressures and the implementation of new policies by the Higher Education Commission HEC. Notably, in the previous year, the BS program witnessed registration from 11,500 students.

Dr. Akhtar earnestly urged all prospective candidates to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming test and underscored the critical importance of strictly adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures SOPs during the examination.
