Universities Start Online Classes on Orders of HEC

Higher Education Commission has issued the directions to all universities that they should start the online classes at different levels for the bachelor and master degree programs with the use of their enough resources. The HEC asked the recognized universities and accredited institutes that there are vacations in the educational institutes because of COVID-19 outbreak across the country and the students are sitting in their homes and their precious time is going waste. In order to utilize their time positively, the universities need to use their sufficient resources to start the online classes. Universities Start Online Classes on Orders of HEC.
As most of the universities have strong and well-built learning management systems and they can start the online classes for their students at the graduate and postgraduate and doctoral levels. If any university lacks with such online management facility, they should be remained close till 31 May 2020 and they should consider it the as summer vacation period. All such universities should plan, acquire and train their staff and manage the equipments so that they can be able to execute LMS from 01 June 2020 and they can consume time to carry on the ongoing semester if the lockdown and closure of the universities are extended.
Quality off Online Learning Initiatives
HEC has taken different initiatives to ensure that they are providing quality education to the students during the closing of the universities and they have developed the technical support committee, which can help the universities to start the online mode of education.
HEC is also going to set up the National Knowledge Bank with the purpose to provide the wide variety of academic resources to the students and teachers. The National Academy for Higher Education is assigned the task to recommend the online tutorials to increase skills of teachers, so that they can impart the online education to the students.
