Admissions Open for Bioethics Programs at Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences

The Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Culture CBEC at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation SIUT in Karachi, Pakistan, is now accepting applications for its prestigious bioethics programs commencing in January 2025. This year, CBEC-SIUT offers two key academic programs: the Masters in Bioethics MBE and the Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Ethics PGD.

Masters in Bioethics MBE - Class of 2026
The MBE is a rigorous two-year degree program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of bioethics. The program structure includes:

Coursework and Thesis: Students will undertake comprehensive coursework followed by a research thesis.
On-Campus Modules: Four intensive on-campus modules, each lasting 7 to 14 days, are required in the first year.

Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Ethics PGD - Class of 2025
The PGD is a one-year program aimed at professionals looking to enhance their understanding and teaching of biomedical ethics. The program details are as follows:

Coursework and Teaching Project: Students will complete coursework and prepare a bioethics teaching project.
On-Campus Modules: Four required on-campus modules, each 7 to 14 days long, with additional mandatory distance learning components.
Eligibility: Applicants should be professionals in healthcare-related fields such as doctors, nurses, administrators, or researchers. Preference is given to mid-career professionals with teaching responsibilities.
