Sindh Unveils New Criteria for 2025 College Enrollments

The Sindh College Education Department has officially approved a modified admissions policy for government colleges under the Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Programme SECCAP, allowing students to apply for Class XI based on their Class IX examination scores for the academic year 2025-2026. The students can check the fresh updates of Sindh Unveils New Criteria for 2025 College Enrollments.
As detailed in a notification issued on Friday, students will be able to submit their applications online through the SECCAP portal www.seccap.dges.gos.pk starting June 15, 2025. The application process will close on July 15. Placement lists for various disciplines will be published by July 22, with Class XII set to start on August 1 and Class XI on August 5.
First-Year Admissions to be Based on Class IX Marks
The revised policy retains the existing College Zone System for the Karachi region. Under this system, most students will be admitted to colleges located within their assigned zones. However, students who achieve A+ or A grades will have the freedom to select any college they prefer, while those receiving B to E grades will remain limited to their zonal colleges.
Regional Directors from Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana will supervise the admission processes in their areas, under the overall direction of the Director General of Colleges, Sindh.
Admissions will primarily rely on Class IX or O-Level Part-I results. The Directorate General of Colleges’ IT department will prepare detailed placement lists, categorized by gender and faculty, after receiving clearance from the Chairman of the SECCAP Committee 2025-26.
For students facing issues after the placement results are published, special claim centers will be established across the province for both male and female applicants to submit their concerns.
Students who were previously enrolled in HSC or FSC programs and now wish to reapply must first cancel their previous board registration and SECCAP admission records before submitting a fresh application. Additionally, applicants who have not enrolled in any program for more than five years will not be eligible for admission this year.
