Punjab Adjusts School Summer holidays

The Punjab government has announced a one-day postponement in the commencement of summer holidays for public schools. Instead of starting on May 28, the vacations will now begin on May 29, 2025. This adjustment is made to ensure that schools remain operational on May 28 to observe Youm-e-Takbeer with full participation. Observance of Youm-e-Takbeer in Schools
To mark this important national occasion, the School Education Department has directed all District Education Authorities’ CEOs to organize special programs across schools in Punjab on May 28. The focus will be on celebrating Pakistan’s achievements in becoming a nuclear power.
Events Planned for the Commemoration
The day will kick off with a formal assembly including the national anthem, prayers, and a salute to the Pakistan Army. Public schools will also host a series of competitions such as speeches highlighting the significance of Youm-e-Takbeer, art and poster creation contests, and renditions of patriotic songs known as Milli Naghmay.
Recognition and Awards for Participants
Participants who excel at the district level competitions will be rewarded with cash prizes of Rs. 50,000. Schools are encouraged to engage enthusiastically in these activities, emphasizing themes of patriotism, peace, and scientific progress.
