PU Annouces Admission Test for Undergraduate Degree Programs

The University of the Punjab, Lahore, invites applicants to appear for the Second Admission Test for its undergraduate programs for the academic year 2025-26. The test is scheduled to be held tentatively on July 20, 2025. Appearing in this test is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission.
Who Should Apply

Students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent Grade 12.

Students awaiting results of their HSSC or equivalent final exams.

Candidates who appeared in the First Admission Test held on June 15, 2025 may reapply for the second test, with their highest score being considered.

PU Admission Test Categories
The admission test will be conducted in seven categories based on academic streams:

The admission test accounts for 25% of the total merit used for admissions.
Important Information

Passing the admission test is a prerequisite to applying for the university’s programs once admissions open.

Scores from previous years’ PU admission tests are not valid for the 2025-26 admissions cycle.

The test will be held at major cities throughout Pakistan.

Application Process

For engineering programs Chemical, Energy, Electrical, Metallurgy & Materials, Industrial Engineering, PU’s admission test is compulsory as per PEC guidelines. Alternatively, E-CAT UET or NUST test results are accepted.

Both the LAT and PU Admission Test are mandatory for admission to LLB programs.

Admission to the College of Art & Design requires the PU Admission Test plus a separate Drawing/Aptitude Test.

For Pharm-D admissions, either MDCAT or PU Admission Test scores are valid.

Department-wise admission notices will be published separately in newspapers and on the university’s official website.
