The government schools in KPK announced their annual exams result for class 1 to 8 and all of the public schools have 100 % success rate, which shows that the KPK government is following the 16 years promotion policy of the students to the next classes. The students and teachers should consider Promotion of Students in KP Despite Low Marks.

Awami National Party led coalition government introduced the educational policy to promote all students to next classes in order to avoid discouragement of the students and out of them from the government schools. Previously, the students got 33% marks and they were declared successful in their exams and they were moved to next class. The government changed this policy and promoted all students to next classes even that they obtain just 5 to 8 % marks. The exams take long time and huge time is spent on these exams and education is imparted for only 5 to 6 months during the whole academic year and half of the year is lost in various activities, which told upon the education of the students. The teachers should be instructed to provide complete education to the students on the daily basis ensuring increase in knowledge of the students.

Some of them considered it as useless policy and they said that this policy is reinforced for last 16 years according to which no students will be declared fail whether they got fail in the exams. The government introduced this policy with the aim that the failed students do not become discouraged and so do their parents as the failed students are ped out of the schools. This policy has got heavy criticism but the government did not change this policy.

The high schools complain that some of the students come to their schools for admission in 6th class but they do not write their names. The ANP government introduced this policy in the schools to enhance the literacy rate in the province. The teachers also criticized this policy but they cannot take part in changing this policy. When these students apply for admission in the higher classes in high schools, the schools grant admission to these students without taking their admission test. The officials also said that the government should restart the 5th and 8th classes board exams to check and monitor the standard of education being imparted in these schools.
