Pakistan Marine Academy PMA invites applications for its 64th Cadet Batch in Nautical Science Deck and Marine Engineering. This is your gateway to a dynamic maritime career with international exposure.
Eligibility Requirements
Nationality & Marital Status: Unmarried male citizens of Pakistan.
Age Limit: Maximum 20 years as of 31st December 2025.
Relaxation: Candidates from FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Balochistan are eligible up to 21 years of age.
Academic Qualification
Minimum Requirement: F.Sc Pre-Engineering or A-Level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Must have at least 55% marks.
A-Level applicants must submit an equivalence certificate with their application.
Hope Certificate Option: Students currently in F.Sc/A-Level Part II with at least 80% marks in Part I may apply with a Hope Certificate issued by their institution.
However, failure to secure 55% in final exams will result in disqualification, even after submission of the Hope Certificate.
Training & Certification
Duration: Two-year residential training at Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi.
Certification: Upon successful completion:
Associate Degree in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering awarded by the National University of Engineering and Technology NUET, Karachi.
Internationally recognized marine certifications approved by the International Maritime Organization IMO.
Scholarship Opportunities
A total of 33 merit-based scholarships offered by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs:
Balochistan: 15 scholarships
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6 scholarships
Punjab: 6 scholarships
Sindh: 6 scholarships

Entry Test & Selection Process
Entry Test Date: Sunday, 10th August 2025
Test Centers: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Gwadar, Multan, Sukkur, Muzaffarabad
Minimum Passing Marks: 50%
Further Selection Stages
Medical Examination: Conducted at nominated Army/Navy hospitals
Final Merit Evaluation Includes:

Medical fitness
Physical Efficiency Test PET

Running 1 mile 1.6 km 8 minutes
Push-ups 15 repetitions 2 minutes
Sit-ups 15 repetitions 2 minutes
Chin-ups 2 repetitions 2 minutes
Who is Not Eligible
Applicants with fake documents or misinformation
Those expelled due to poor conduct or performance
Individuals dismissed from Armed Forces or government service
Persons convicted in criminal or moral misconduct cases
Medically unfit or color blind candidates
Holders of DAE or other diplomas not recognized by PMA
