M.Phil Programs Admissions 2025 open in GCU

Government College University Lahore GCU, a prestigious institution with a legacy spanning over 160 years, is now accepting applications for the GCU Graduate Assessment Test GCU-GAT/I. This test is a prerequisite for admission to MS and MPhil programs for the Fall 2025 session.

Application Starts: May 12, 2025

Last Date to Apply: May 23, 2025

Test Dates: May 31 & June 1, 2025

Result Announcement: June 10, 2025

 How to Register

Generate and print the challan form.

Pay a non-refundable fee of PKR 1,500/- at any UBL branch across Pakistan.

Note: Payments made via UBL Mobile App or Omni will not be accepted.

No need to submit a hard copy of the form.

If applying for multiple subjects, submit a separate form and fee for each.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for GCU-GAT/I and apply for MS/MPhil programs, candidates must:

Have completed 16 years of education MA/MSc/BA/BSc Hons or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution.

Attain a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 semester system or 50% marks annual system.

Achieve at least 50% marks in GCU-GAT/I.

Students awaiting final results of BS Semester VIII may apply provisionally but must submit their results before the academic session begins.

For MPhil in Freshwater Biology, Fisheries & Aquaculture:

Candidates must have a BS Hons or equivalent 16-year degree in:

Zoology

Freshwater Biology

Fisheries & Aquaculture

Applied Fisheries

Minimum requirement: CGPA 2.50 or 50% marks annual system.
