Karachi University PG Students Get Higher ICCBS Scholarships

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences ICCBS, a leading research institution at the University of Karachi, has officially raised the monthly scholarship amounts for students enrolled in its MPhil and PhD programs. PhD scholars will now receive Rs. 70,000 per month, while MPhil students will be granted Rs. 30,000—marking a significant increase from the previous Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. This development was finalized during a faculty meeting led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, the Director of ICCBS. The meeting took place at the ICCBS Seminar Room earlier this week.
ICCBS Enhances Scholarships for MPhil and PhD Scholars
In alignment with the university’s postgraduate education initiatives, ICCBS has opened admissions for its globally acknowledged MPhil and PhD programs for the 2025 academic cycle. Prof. Dr. Raza Shah highlighted that ICCBS remains one of the rare institutions in Pakistan to provide monthly financial support to all of its postgraduate students. He expressed confidence that the increased stipends and world-class research facilities will further encourage scholars to engage in meaningful and impactful scientific research.

Applicants must submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 8,000 via any Bank Alfalah branch. Completed forms, accompanied by academic transcripts and the paid voucher, must be submitted to the ICCBS Academic Coordination Office between June 23 and July 07, 2025.
