HEC Special Equivalence Exam for Law Graduates 2024

Higher Education Commission HEC is organizing the Special Equivalence Examination SEE-Law 2024 for law graduates from foreign universities, in line with the Supreme Court’s directives. Graduates holding law degrees from foreign institutions recognized by HEC and the Pakistan Bar Council PBC must pass this exam before they can sit for the Law Graduate Assessment Test LAW-GAT. The LAW-GAT is a mandatory requirement for enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council. The students can get fresh updates of HEC Special Equivalence Exam for Law Graduates 2024.
Who Can Apply and How
The SEE-Law exam is open to law graduates who have earned degrees from foreign universities recognized by HEC and PBC. Applicants must have at least a Bachelors degree or equivalent from these institutions. The exam will take place on November 3, 2024. Those interested can apply online, and the last date to register is October 15, 2024.

Specific Relief Act
The exam will consist entirely of Multiple-Choice Questions MCQs. Any updates regarding the exam date or details will be shared on the HEC website.
Roll Number Slip and Test Locations
Registered candidates will be able to download their Roll Number Slip from the HEC website. A copy of this slip will also be sent to the candidate’s registered email a week before the exam. On the day of the test, candidates must bring the printed Roll Number Slip along with their original CNIC to enter the exam center. The exam will be held in the major cities of Pakistan, and candidates can choose their preferred center during registration. However, once selected, the test center cannot be changed.
Steps to Register for the SEE-Law Test
To apply for the SEE-Law Test, visit the HEC registration portal. If you face any issues during registration, help is available through HEC’s online support or by visiting their Secretariat or regional centers. The exam fee must be paid through the 1Link 1bill system, using options like bank apps, ATMs, or mobile payment services like EasyPaisa or JazzCash. After making the payment, candidates should verify it on the ETC portal.
Key Exam Conditions and Requirements
To pass the SEE-Law exam, candidates need a minimum score of 50%. Each applicant is allowed up to three attempts to pass the exam. HEC will conduct the exam twice a year, in February and August. Candidates must also meet any other requirements set by the Pakistan Bar Council. The exam fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
