Govt Unveils New Scholarship for Coastal Youth

On Sunday, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, revealed a new government initiative aimed at empowering students in Pakistan’s coastal regions through education. The Maritime Education Endowment Fund will be established to provide financial assistance to deserving students from these areas. According to a report by local tv channel, the scholarship program targets students from underprivileged coastal communities, offering them the chance to attain quality education and brighter futures.

“The purpose is to ensure educational opportunities for young people living along the coast,” said the minister. He further mentioned that although the initial phase will focus on coastal zones, the scheme will gradually be extended to other parts of the country.

To uphold integrity and fairness, a dedicated committee will be formed to supervise the scholarship 2025 process, ensuring that selection is based purely on merit and free of any discrimination.
