Free Google Certification Program for 1,000 Teachers

The Punjab School Education Department SED has introduced a Google certification initiative, starting with teachers from four selected districts. The program aims to certify 1,000 teachers as Master Trainers and train 50,000 students in Google Certification. Eligibility and Initial Rollout

In the first phase, teachers from Lahore, Kasur, Layyah, and Bhakkar are eligible to apply for this certification. Google will award certificates to the trained teachers. According to Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, the training will adhere to international standards and can be accessed from home via a QR code. This certification will significantly enhance the marketability of these teachers in the private sector.

Project Inception and Digital Learning

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in collaboration with a delegation of IT companies, has inaugurated this educational project. The initiative will offer free digital courses to 1,000 teachers in government schools, while Google for Education will extend free certification courses to 15,000 university students, focusing on AI and antivirus training.

Registration Process for Teachers

The Punjab Government has commenced online registration for teachers to obtain free Google Certificates. Teachers can register using a specific link or QR code.
