FBISE Declares Promotion Policy For Matric Inter Students

The Federal Board will promote the candidates who are failed in the FBISE Matric Inter Examinations 2021. Earlier, the Federal Minister of Education, Shafqat Mehmood introduced the Promotion Policy for the failing candidates to allow them to continue their studies in next grades.
The Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education FBISE Islamabad has now issued an official notification for the promotion of matric inter students to next classes according to new promotion policy.
The new promotion policy announced by Education Minister reads that the candidates who are failed in the Examinations will be promoted to their next classes by awarding 33% marks.
The board has also made a decision on the marking scheme as well. According to FBISE, the candidates will be awarded marks in compulsory subjects on the basis of marks secured in the optional subjects. The students will also get 5% additional marks in the compulsory subjects.
Moreover, the candidates will be awarded 50% marks in the practical subjects and 50% marks will be given on the basis of theory.
As per new promotion policy, candidates who were absent and did not appear in the said examinations will not be given extra marks and will not be promoted to next classes.
The chairman of FBISE has authority to make the final decision about exceptional cases. Remember that the FBISE Matric Inter Result 2021 will be announced on Monday, 27th September 2021.
