AJK & Kashmir Refugee Students Avail KANA Scholarship

The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan has introduced a scholarship program aimed at providing financial assistance to students from Azad Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir who are refugees. The Ministry is now accepting applications for fresh stipends from students nominated by the Ministry, Secretary Nomination Board, AJ&K, or those admitted on a general merit basis in recognized institutions of Pakistan and AJ&K for the calendar year 2022. This opportunity is open to students who were enrolled between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2022. Eligible applicants will be considered for stipends based on the allocated quota for A.K. Nationals/J&K Refugees and merit in specified disciplines, subject to meeting the outlined criteria.

To apply, students must submit attested copies of their State Subject Certificate, Domicile, Marks Sheets, NCC Certificate, etc. Applicants with a minimum of 50% marks in their last examination will be eligible for the stipend.

Incomplete or misstated applications received after the deadline will be rejected. Verification of certificates, such as mark sheets and domicile, will be conducted by the relevant authorities, and forgery will lead to disqualification. Students currently receiving stipends from other sources are not eligible, and applications for courses outside the specified fields will not be considered.

Previous stipend recipients do not need to reapply; their stipends will be renewed based on progress and promotion reports from their institutions. Applications, available on the KA&GB Divisions website, must be submitted in full by registered post to the specified address before the deadline of December 31, 2023.
