Admissions for Kashmiri Students on AJK Quota Seats 2024

The Secretariat of Higher Education, Government of AJK, has announced admissions for Kashmiri students into Pakistani universities under the AJK Quota for the year 2024. Reserved seats are available in various professional institutions, colleges, and engineering universities for residents of AJK and refugees from 1947 and 1989. Application Guidelines

Candidates interested in applying through the Nomination Board must submit their applications online via the websites of the respective universities. This online submission is compulsory; failing to do so will result in disqualification for nomination.

Specific Instructions for UET Peshawar

Applicants seeking a civil engineering seat at UET Peshawar must note that after receiving a nomination letter based on merit, UET Peshawar will further assess merit among nominated students from AJK, GB, and Army quota on a merit-cum-choice basis. If an applicant does not qualify for civil engineering, the university will offer an alternative technology of the applicants choice, excluding civil engineering.

Accurate Marks Submission

Students must ensure that they enter their marks correctly according to the policy. Incorrect entries will lead to the rejection of applications.

Application Procedure for Kashmiri Students

Candidates must clear the entry test if required by the institution.
Application processing fee: PKR 1500 for all courses; PKR 2000 for self-finance seats.
Application fees must be submitted online to the Secretary Nomination Board AJK, A/C# 197-8 NBP Old Secretariat Branch Code 0660, Muzaffarabad.
Attach attested copies of all required documents with the application.
Hafiz-e-Quran students will have to appear for a test to gain an additional 20 marks.
Candidates with A-Level or equivalent qualifications must submit an equivalence certificate, as merit will be based on average marks, not CGPA.
Incomplete applications or those lacking required documents will be rejected.
