USEFP Fulbright Scholarship 2025
The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan USEFP invites applications for the 2025 Fulbright Scholar Program. This prestigious program offers 15 scholars the opportunity to engage in academic and cultural exchange in the United States. Out of these slots, 13 are designated for faculty and researchers who are in the early stages of their research careers, with 2-7 years of experience. The remaining 2 slots are reserved for senior scholars with 8-15 years of experience since completing their Ph.D. or terminal degree.
The Fulbright Scholar Program provides funding for up to 12 months of lectureship, post-doctoral research, or a combination of both at a U.S. college or university. Selected scholars are expected to actively share information about Pakistani society and culture with students, colleagues, and community groups in the United States. Upon their return to Pakistan, these scholars are anticipated to significantly contribute to Pakistans development by sharing their U.S. experiences with students, colleagues, and community groups back home.
Fulbright Scholar Grant Benefits
The Fulbright Scholar Grant covers the following:
Airfare
An incidental research allowance
A living stipend
Health insurance
Additionally, the program funds one accompanying dependent, and USEFP assists with the visa application process.
Eligibility Criteria for USEFP Fulbright Scholar Program
The program is open to scholars, professionals, and artists from all disciplines, except clinical medicine. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Possess a Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field, held for at least two years.
Have not been to the U.S. for research or other long-term educational opportunities within the last five years.
Demonstrate an excellent command of written and spoken English.
Have a clear and well-formulated proposal related to their work in Pakistan. This proposal is the most critical part of the application.
Be Pakistani citizens with strong academic backgrounds, residing and working in Pakistan.
Ineligibility
Individuals with dual U.S./Pakistani nationality or those with close family ties in the U.S. are ineligible. Additionally, employees of the Fulbright organization, the U.S. Department of State, or USAID and their immediate family members cannot apply. Persons already studying or working on a visa in any country, or those involved in plagiarism, fraudulent publications, or other misrepresentations, will be disqualified.
All application materials, including references, must be submitted online by 4:30 pm on September 18, 2024. This program is a unique opportunity for Pakistani scholars to contribute to cross-cultural understanding and development between Pakistan and the United States.
