USEFP Fulbright FLTA Program 2025

The United States Education Foundation in Pakistan USEFP is set to launch the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant FLTA program 2025. This initiative invites applications from English teachers at the college or university level for its FLTA program, where they will teach Urdu or Pashtu at selected US campuses during the nine-month tenure starting in Fall 2025.
Program Overview
The Fulbright FLTA program is a US-funded non-degree program aimed at enhancing the English language proficiency of young teachers while providing them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in American society and culture as teaching assistants in their native languages.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Pakistani nationals with valid Pakistani passports.
They must be teaching English at the college or university level in Pakistan during the nomination and selection process.
Preference will be given to young teachers with one to eight years of experience.
Candidates must have completed 16 years of formal education equivalent to a four-year bachelors degree or a combination of bachelors and masters degrees totaling four years.
Ineligibility
Individuals with dual US and Pakistani nationality or those with spouses, parents, or children over 18 years who are US citizens or permanent residents of the USA are ineligible.
Employees or contractors of Fulbright organizations, the US Department of State, or USAID, along with their family members, dependents, and parents, are ineligible.
Alumni of the Fulbright and Humphrey programs are ineligible, as are candidates already studying in the US or holding work or resident visas in any country.
Grant Benefits
FLTA fellows will receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, and travel support.
Fulbright supports host institutes in providing tuition awards for coursework.
